I am most likely moving to the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area soon (fiancé is military and there is a small chance we could go somewhere else) and I would like to get a jump on things. I am looking for eventing barns/trainers in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk/Suffolk/Hampton Roads area, or anywhere else up to an hour away. I would even be open to boarding elsewhere and trailering in or having a trainer come to me. I would just really like to keep training if I possibly can. I know this area is a no-man’s land when it comes to eventing and tends to be more hunter-jumper oriented. I have heard of Salli Gear and I found her website- is there anyone else I can look at? Sali is no longer teaching as far as I know. It really does depend on where you live. Traffic is really a nightmare getting to and from the barn. I would recommend Kate Mason (Dark Horse Eventing). That is who I worked with when I lived in the area.
