Hi!
I am looking to return to riding after a roughly a six year break. I still have an oldie (27 y/o draft cross) who is living out his well deserved retirement on at a lush countryside farm, but have barely ridden (we’re talking circa four rides in seven years in holiday/trail settings) since I retired my horse following an injury. At the time, I had just finished graduate school and started an office job, and had no more money to spend on horses beyond paying my retiree’s board bill.
We moved to Seattle last year, and my financial situation and lifestyle is now in a place where I can afford to ride again and have time. I used to event up to Novice level, and would really like to find a barn with some lesson horses to get back in riding shape, up my confidence again, and then possibly buy another horse with a view of doing some low level eventing again.
Are there any barns in the area that would fit the bill? Obviously I’ll be waiting to start the lessons until after it’s safe to travel outwit Seattle.
