I am moving down to the Ocala area for the winter and am looking for recommendations for boarding/training on my young event horse. Also wondering approximate price range I will be spending for board and 3-4 lessons a week.

A good friend paid $2500/mo. board + full care for her horse 2 years ago. She also pays for a lesson/training package that includes at least 3 lessons/week…it might be 4. Lessons are $150 each if done ala carte. So all together you’re looking at approx. $4,000/mo. That’s before shoes, vet, bodywork, or showing. This is for a lower level ammy with a well-respected (but not top of the line/international level trainer).
Another rec for Steph from a lower level amateur. She’s the most positive teacher I’ve ever had and breaks things down in a way you go, “Ooohhhhh!” As for budget, I can say I am not shelling out $4k a month in board and lessons

Aharoni Equestrian has training board which includes 4-5 rides/lessons per week. Includes off site schoolings and show coaching. Check it out!
