Eventing Watch

Is this “sailing” watch the same thing as the “eventing” watch? Same brand and same buttons but much cheaper.

The maker’s website has two different sections of watches

Equestrian

I’m looking for an affordable and easy to use eventing watch for a part time eventer on a budget.

Yep. That’s it.

Here’s another website with the horse version for $73 with free shipping

The buttons are different, and the available programs are a bit different. (They might secretly each have the programs of the other, but given the difference in the hardware otherwise I somewhat doubt it.)

That said, both have “count down, then up” functionality, which is all I want. Possibly the equestrian version is the only one with “beep every minute”. I know people with the sailing version if there’s something specific you want to know about. (Though this would be easier during sailing season!)

This doesn’t have the minute beep, but it it’s otherwise comparable, and very much easier on the budget.

I have the Champion stop watch above ^^^^. It does have a programmable minute beep, not that I use it - it bugs me. But it has all the features I need and it’s $19

The seller said it does not have a minute beep.

I can never keep track of the minutes even with the beep. Wait, was that 3? Or 4?:sigh:

I accidentally turned the minute beeps off on my big yellow watch and it was the best thing I ever did for myself! I only wear my watch for long format events at this point, though. I know my horse’s pace pretty well and prefer to focus on safely getting around than time. Maybe if I ever become more competitive and have to really care about time, I’ll start wearing it again.

How do you turn the minute beeps off on the yellow watch???

At one point I accidentally did it to mine by putting the battery in upside down…
