I made it around SJ and XC with no time penalties and without peeing myself so my Fiancé thinks it’s time I own an eventing watch, he’d like to get me one in purple (the best color ever). Although I think it’s a tad excessive for a move up to a division that has oxers, he’s got big plans for me so a watch it is.
Has anyone seen any in purple?
Are you thinking of the optimum time watch specifically? I have an ancient purple one but it looks like it doesn’t come in purple anymore. But you could probably get the optimum time sailing watch which is similar but has more functions.
Or you could go the super-econo route and get the Champion Sports Jumbo wrist stopwatch. It has all the features, but only comes in black. For $21 on Amazon, I didn’t care if it didn’t come in colors!
I completely agree that purple is the best color ever but I sadly haven’t found an eventing watch in purple (which seems like a huge void just waiting for a company to fill!). Mine is pink because that was the closest to purple I could get!
While the color is perfect, I think that would be too small for me to read when riding at speed - the face is 26mm in diameter compared to mine which is approx. 50mm.
