Experiences with HighLine/FineLine Tack fitting?

It’s me, blowing up the feed again. New horse

Has anyone used HighLine/FineLine tack recently to source a new or used saddle? Thoughts? I have a few local fitters but they don’t carry much inventory whereas HL does. I prefer a trial saddle or a used one to actually sit on my horse, and they carry Black Country and a few other semi customs that I’m interested in.

Any input on remote fitting experiences would be great, though they’re close enough I could haul in if I got my life together.

Bought my 2018 Voltaire palm beach from Highline. Trial period was easy. She extended it so my trainer could see the saddle and I bought it. This was in 2020 or 2021 I can’t remember. Anyway I bought the saddle and I adore it.

My current saddle, a Luc Childeric, came from Highline. I tried one, it kind of fit, but not quite. I shipped it back and got another, it fit well, and I kept it. The company was very easy to deal with and everyone I spoke to was very nice.

I did not seek any fitting advice from Highline, though, because someone in my barn had a saddle from the same manufacturer so we were able to make a pretty good guess based on the codes and the way that saddle fit my horse.

I’ve both purchased and sold through Highline. I’ve also referred several very satisfied people to them. I think Suzy is wonderful. Customer service is stellar.

The final outcome is TBD, but a friend who’s gotten a few saddles from there recommended them to me for my overgrown pony. They have a great selection and have been very helpful over email. Unfortunately, the two I’ve tried didn’t work for miss mutton shoulders, but both were beautiful saddles that arrived in pristine condition, exactly as advertised. I would absolutely order from them again (and may still, depending on how things go with the saddle fitter I have coming out this week).

I’ve tried some but didn’t find the right fit so didn’t buy, but I would recommend them. Very easy to do business with—I just had a very particular horse (tried a LOT of used saddles from various sources and ultimately just re-fit one of my own saddles after the horse it was for passed away). And I think you can keep shuffling through trials before the restocking fee kicks in (if you give up and don’t buy anything like I did) which was a nice offer.

We have bought and sold three saddles through Highline. Suzy(owner) is excellent to work with. I highly recommend her. I am thrilled that she expanded and has the saddle fitting store because it is an hour away. And, as we all know, finding the right saddle can be a long and expensive process.

I was actually very impressed!

They did a fantastic job doing a remote fitting. Not much inventory in my neck of the woods. Based on photos and videos, recommended a couple that might work - I picked one and it was love at first sit. Perfection. Better than the in person fitting.

Totally recommend. Top notch to deal with all around, both the in office team and their fitter. Lovely, knowledgeable kind group of ladies. I will not hesitate to use them again if baby pony grows out of this one!

I’ve bought two used from them, one a few years old and one in demo condition, and excellent experiences both times! Suzy is awesome. The second one, which I purchased about 6 months ago, was the 3rd for 4th that I tried from them via ordering, trying, and shipping back since I’m states away. Would highly highly (haha pun intended) recommend!!!

Bought a used County 4ish years ago. Already owned the same saddle so didn’t need a trial, but the price was fair, they were very communicative, and the saddle arrived in great shape. Will definitely go to them if I’m looking for something used in the future.

Turns out they’re only an hour from me… as if I needed more temptation to make a phone call.

I’ve got something that should work in the meantime, but I have a feeling it won’t be a permanent solution and I’ll be in the market for a saddle soon!
