Does anyone have one or know anything about them? How do they compare to Bobby’s? I hate buying tack and not being able to touch it. I have a friend that swears by her Bobby’s, but I’ve heard others say they don’t like them. I have found a deal on an Exselle, but I don’t want to waste my money if the Bobby’s is better.
My husband has an Exselle hunt bridle to match his Exselle saddle - he loves them both. Bobby’s is thicker. I do love Bobby’s, but sometimes it can be hard to adjust them due to the thickness, I think. Last year I bought my hunt bridle from Berney Brothers. I love the bridle, but I do think Bobby’s is a higher quality (and for the same cost). If/when I have to replace it I will go with Bobby’s, but we are both quite happy with our bridles for now.
Not familiar w/Exselle and haven’t owned a Bobby’s. I have one from Smith Worthington that I am very pleased with for the money, plus, since no dealer in my area for their tack, they very cordially accommodated working w/me directly.
I ended up getting a Bobby’s. It’s beautiful! I get to try it on my new horse tomorrow. I ordered a warmblood size, as he is a 17hh+ Belgium draft/QH cross, but the bridle is HUGE. Lol. I guess we’ll see tomorrow! I also wish I had ordered the web reins, as I am not used to holding such thick reins.
