Fabregas: Maybe too early to ask NA breeders, but maybe someone in Germany can answer: Who has used him? What did he pass on? What were your mare’s blood lines?

I have used Wolkentanz II, and was very pleased with the colt out of Peggy Sue (Pointmaker/Pik Bube). He was a premium with GOV, and sold as a yearling. My daughters dressage mare X Rosentau x Donnerbube had a filly about a month ago by WII. I have to say I was soooo disappointed… she was early (320 days) with very bad legs. Fast forward a month… and she is incredible… super pretty loves people and what a mover. I would definitely breed to him again… Straightened right up in the legs!

I’m following this thread, as I am very interested in these boys and especially in WII. I was so bummed when I read that you were disappointed in the filly. But then… YAY! she’s turning out fantastic! So exciting to hear! I’d love to see pictures!

Unfortunately… I am technologically challenged… by the time I get the pics uploaded I think she may be ready for university… but she is drop dead gorgeous… and what a mover…
I bred two mares to Wolk II three years ago. The mares I used are half sisters, one by Rosentau, one by Longchamp. Both heavily line bred on Absatz which was interesting to me as WII is also double Absatz. I am very happy with both fillies. The one from the Rosentau mother won a large Hanoverian foal show at Spruce Meadows against a very quality group (including a stallion prospect). The judges had lots of great things to say about her. The other was going through a growth spurt but I think she is quite special too. Both inherited lots of expression, beautiful necks and faces and the WII topline (a bit longer over the back and loin, short, sloping group). Neither mare has a topline like this nor have they produced this topline before. He is for sure a stallion that stamps. Both are nice movers, the one from the Longchamp dam is the best moving foal that mare has had hands down. The one from the Rosentau moves well too but so do all the foals from this same mare. Both foals are going to be much taller than the mothers. Both have their mother’s temperaments.

Ditto to Donella. I have had 2 WII foals out of a EM by Anhaltiner (Absatz). She also has Leibniz (so line bred to WII through Ludendorf). Similar to Donella, they both were very pretty and very similar in type to each other (and in markings).
The colt was Top Colt at his AHS inspection (he died as a yearling)

The filly is now 3 years old and didn’t go to foal inspection because of a bruised foot.

Filly is under saddle a few weeks and going well. She has 3 nice gaits, and it much more brave than her dam (who was spooky). Her type and frame is definite a WII one and not like her dam’s at all.

This filly is about 16.2 h at 3 years old, taller than her 16.1 dam. I expect that she will end up almost 16.3.
Oh no! I am so sorry to hear that your colt died. He was a really special one.

I have had 3 Liberty Gold and 2 Wolkentanz II offspring, and really like both stallions. There are pictures and video links on my web site.
All three of my Liberty Gold fillies (2 out of a Donnerschall x Wilhelm Tell II mare, and one out of a Dederick x TB)were inspected by AHS, all three were Elite Eligible. Two did the MPT, with good scores, and great rideability scores. The one I kept is now an Elite Mare, with her second foal due shortly, and the other (EE) is competing, and ready to show 3rd level with her owner’s trainer (sold her when she was 5 days old!)
The WII youngsters are both from the same mare (Rouletto x Akzent II.). WII improved neck set and top line on the mare, which is exactly what I was trying for. The 2010 boy has an awesome temperament, and has been very easy to deal with. We have started ground work with him, and he is smart, and learns quickly. He is a nice, correct moving, well put together youngster. My 2013 filly by WII is a keeper…what else can I say? The filly is gorgeous,easy, correct, and, did I say gorgeous?
