I saw this pair compete at the WEG and was so impressed by how well horse and rider worked together. I was even more astonished to find out this actually was a loaner horse, not one the rider had been with for years.
This rider may well have been the most severely impaired of any of the athletes in the paraequestrian competition, and she and this horse came so close to medalling in the freestyle.
Anyways, I thought this was a very interested behind-the-scenes story about how this wonderful mare and her rider came together.
