My horse is stabled next to another horse that has very bad face fungus or rain rot and I noticed she now has some on her head above her eyes - I started putting Banixx on it about 5 days ago and the hair has all fallen out. I turn her out in a fly mask and it’s been very humid here any thoughts on if I should take the fly mask off?
How can I tell if the Banixx is working - there are no more crusts but still missing hair in multiple places. let me know your thoughts! Thanks
I would keep the fly mask off as sweat allows
the fungus to grow. My mare get it on her face
when she sweats on her face in hot humid weather. Clear water washes will help.
Ointments may make it worse and get into the eyes. Even Swat fly salve makes it worse.
