I have 3’ or 4’ fans on wheels for the hottest days. It’s very powerful, blows air nicely down 60’ aisle and down 72’ aisle. But it’s always in the way. Thinking about getting something else. Would two of the wall mount sealed motor fans mounted at the end of each aisle be enough (link below)? Could mount it above door way at each gable end or other recommendations?
Yup, that’ll work.
I hung mine from heavy screw-in hooks so I can turn the whole fan to direct the air flow in addition to tilting it.
I’m VERY happy to have the big floor fans gone.
I just bought two of those fans and they do move a lot of air. I am happy with them. I have one mounted above the doorway and the other facing towards the hotter corner of the barn.
If you have the head clearance ceiling fans work very well. Sealed motors/out door rated of course.
Thank you! I will look into those wall mount fans.
I have clearance. I think 15’ aisle at the peek. I like that idea of ceiling fans. I don’t like the idea of having to hire an electrician, though. Even it they came in a plug in model, I wouldn’t want to go up on a ladder. I’ve got a 10’ ladder in the barn, plus extension ladders. I might be needing some sort of a lift for a project in the near future. If that’s the case, I’d mount the fans then, run the wire in conduit, then have an electrician finish off the wiring.
