fancy rain coats

Someone lent me a rain coat today that was black, fit very well and she said it can be used as a show coat. I loved it, and forgot to ask the name of the maker. I have gone to Dover and Beval on line and not found it. Anyone know what I am describing?

Not the Kerrits 24K? I wouldn’t call that fancy.

Was it an Asmar coat?

Charles Ancona? Definitely a show coat, but rain resistant material.

Is it a rain coat look or a show jacket? If it’s an actual raincoat I’d guess it’s the Hadfields kind maybe? I know those tend to be popular and look fine being used as a show coat in the rain.

Pikeur? http://www.doversaddlery.com/pikeur-nadira-jacket/p/X1-40731/ I use mine in the jumpers as a showcoat when its raining, and I wouldn’t think twice about using it in the hunters if it was raining hard enough to warrant it either.

Do you mean a show coat or a raincoat that is approved to wear over your showboat? I have an approved raincoat at HITS a couple of years ago (horse shows in the rain!!)

I went and looked in the Tackeria today and there is a German made coat that is washable and water resistant…it is a good looking show coat. $449. Ariat had one on the same rack that was a similar material, but had a lining, so I don’t think is washable. I can not see well enough to read the labels. I will check at the showgrounds later.
