Farewell, Zayante: One of Endurance Riding's Best Horses

Endurance riding lost one of its best horses in 2013. Zayante’s absence still stings. I just wanted to share the story of this wonderful horse. Zayante, we miss you greatly.

Thanks for sharing. Odd though that they didn’t know is age ('79 or '85?). Pretty easy to age a horse when they’re younger.

When I interviewed people for the 2004 article, two people (Laddie and Billy) remembered fairly clearly two different dates in recalling the years it happened. We could never trace any papers down on Zayante, since by then Baywood Arabians was extinct.
