Farm Name

We have recently purchased a farm and are struggling to come up with a name. I have three horses:

Emmy (registered name: Red Moon Rising)
Shadow (registered name: Chase the Limit)
Trooper (registered name: Who Rescued Who)

The road name we are on is “Union Valley” so maybe Valley can be incorporated somehow as well.

I show Quarter Horses and ride all-around. I would like to at least incorporate “Shadow” or part of Shadow’s registered name into the name. The other idea I had was something similar to the saying “Diamond in the Rough” because all of my horses were someone else’s throw-aways.

Take your time. Your farm doesn’t have to have a name immediately. And you don’t want to be stuck with a name you hastily chose and purchased a sign for like a Hello Kitty tattoo…

Shadow Wood Farm? Shadowchase Farm? Shadowbrook? Use something in the farm layout (brook/oak/etc.) Oak Shadow Farm? Hmm. Good luck. It’s hard to name farms AND horses!

Moon Shadow/Shadow Moon Farm?

If you have owls, Owl Shadow/Shadow Owl Farm.
I like owls, you may like another critter.

I agree with waiting until you are 100% sure of the name, there is that one perfect one out there.

If you will be a commercial farm, boarding, lessons, shows, then you want a name that will fit and be easy to remember and catchy.

For a private farm, the sky is the limit and anything goes.
