Foxhollow Shooting Star was started up in PA with Cheri Kershner and his name had been changed to Galley’s Shotting Star and then back to Foxhollow when he was sold. He was a really cool pony.
I had Foxhollow Shooting Star straight from the breeder. My mom bought him for me from the breeder when I was about 13 yrs old and riding with carolyn Krome, he had just turned 3yrs old and was just started under tack. Then he was Shooting Star, no prefix. We sold him when I was 18 and had to move to horses. The people who we sold him to added the Galley’s. I thought Foxhollow was added when he was at Holly Chesters. But I could be wrong. He turned out to be a great pony. I was so happy to be able to see him at Holly’s when he was old and before he died.
There is a small picture of us jumping on my website under “news” on the right side of the page.

Glenmore Sally
OK, the rusty wheels of my 80’ s memories are sqweaking…but I’ m pretty sure Glenmore Sally was one of Alison Firestone’ s firsts…and I think that a family from MD who showed with Patty/ Mary Lisa Nicholson had Sally before or after that. Can someone confirm this?
Glenmore Sally was shown very successfully by Sheila Motley in late 1980’s and maybe 1990.
I have ridden Farnley Beryl a few years ago. I’m not quite sure where she went though. I want to say somewhere in Florida. What an adorable pony.
Shenandoah Opal was pretty famous back in the day, don’t remember who showed this pony though.
I think Joanne Houston had Opal for a while

Allie Listrani (in MD) had Glenmore Sally and rode her with the Nicholsons. I was at the Nicholson’s at the time.
Opal was definitely one of the best. She was shown by Wycke Hampton, Joanna Houston, Scott Novick, Emily Sherman, and Jeni Sokoloff.

Does anyone know what happend to the Houstons? They used to own Heaven Trees Farm and they hosted some very nice horse shows there back in the 80’s.

My favorite Farnley pony was Farnley Nasser. I used to take pics from the chronicle & hang him up around my room. I had a serious case of pony envy. The cutest pony!
I remember a dark bay/black pony named Farnley Black Tie… I dont remember who rode him
I wonder if that’s the same pony that Annie Burnes leased out back in the early '90’s?

Was that a grey (looks white) mare? If so, the Dales owned her way back when, and I used to ride her to keep her in shape - she was the most push buttoned thing I have ever sat on.
Let’s see who else do I know…
Shiloh’s Kool Kat - Victoria Free
Hmm, I’ll have to think up some more…
Tearson Wheeler showed Farnley Love Child to the National Small pony title in 1985. Megan Johnstone had her later on down the line.
Does anyone remember the Bittersweet ponies. I used to love, love, love both Bittersweet Shall We Dance and Bittersweet Fancy Dress. Shall We Dance was a grey medium and was one of the nicest movers around. I cannot remember who had him later on down the road though. Bittersweet Fancy Dress was a large and was absolutely stunning to look at and did quite well in the large green’s and large ponies. I believe both were started by Sandy Van Dyke who also had Minuet who won a ton in the green’s and mediums and also the famous Farnely Eiffel Tower.
Another Glenmore pony was Glenmore’s Pure Silver who was a medium and did quite well.
Shenandoah Sundowner showed for a few years in Canada with the Anderson girls from Edmonton. I remember seeing her name in the Corinthian and at the Royal for a few years in the 80’s.
Farnley Soya showed and won a lot in Canada and I remember either Chris Pratt or Chris Delia rode him.
hey - How about all the Brownland ponies??
