I have 2 great older Shenandoah broodmares here on my farm --both originally from the Farnley Farm and both with Farnley in their pedigree. They are both just the sweetest ponies you would ever want to be around.
The 22 yr old Shenandoah Lullaby-- does not look nor act a day over 14 yrs old and is super super sweet. I intend to get a u-tube made of her–so that everyone can see just how good this older mare looks. Well bred and taken care of.
The 18 yr old Shenandoah Watercolor is also very sweet and super quiet. We just finished pulling her mane, clipping her whiskers, ears, and leg feathers-- she did not care a BIT–just stood on a cross ties and ate up the attention. Can’t wait to see her baby in 4 weeks by Otteridge Foxtrot. We have her cleaned up now–will soon take some pictures of her for the website. All of our bridles are over at our other farm and plus the day is a bit overcast and cloudy for good photos today.
I often wish these mares could “talk” and tell me what they have done all their lives.
I am pretty sure Lullaby was exclusively a broodmare.
Not sure on Watercolor–as she has been passed around a bit by breeders.
