Southwest - $40 a trim, I’d pay more if it was for better quality work
Huh?
Your user name hints that you ARE the company that makes these. From what I understand, there are a lot of unfilled orders in the US and no one has even been able to try them yet–not like they’re likely to work anyway. Seems like a very thinly veiled advertising attempt
we paid $35 for a trim all fours on a horse in 1989… yes I believe you need to raise your rates some
yeah some things might work but often not…but we do use Build-A-Bear rubber sole combat boots on our miniature horses at $8.00 a set compared to the $200 for a very similar product made “specifically for miniature horses”… I see they raised the cost to oh my god $9.00
strangely these boots actually work very well providing none slip traction for the minis when in a building …and wear well when used as cushion for the one with dainty feet
only “wear” noticed was the one boot that was lost in the pasture but evidently was found by a coyote who played with it for several days kind of chewing it up some …but they returned it , placing it on top of some hay in the pasture
Heads up that this thread was bumped by what I’m 95% sure was a spam post.
Southern Pines, NC
$50 /trim
$110 /front shoes
$150 /4 shoes
If anyone loses a shoe in-between, he comes out and resets with no charge.
I know this is an old thread, but I’ll bite.
I pay $25 per miniature horse trim (NW Oregon), and I REALLY hope my farrier doesn’t read this!
(Actually…he’s a great guy and never complains about leaning over to do the little ones or wrench their legs up high like some do, so if he does raise his rates, it will still be an incredible deal.)
Even though this is an old thread… I pay $35 for a barefoot trim. Not sure what shoes cost with this farrier. I just switched when my old barefoot trimmer raised their rates from $40 to $60 for a trim, making them the most expensive in the area by far. Not a cost I’m willing to pay in the Midwest for a horse with good feet.
