Hi everyone! I am new to Illinois and am looking for a farrier. I have a hunter jumper and would like a reputable farrier. I just had to get him shod bc he sprung a shoe and was terribly over due. I’m not sure yet if I am happy with the results as his feet may be a little short.
I am anal and now worried about my horse. I hate that I had to jump the gun and just use someone but it was urgent. Now I’m scared the farrier did a bad job. Several people recommended him to me but the barn manager doesn’t like him so she didn’t have nice things to say about him. I’m trying to decide if she only said those things bc she doesn’t like him or if he’s not good. I’m very stressed over this and would love advice/help!!
Do you have recommendations for a great farrier in the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills area?
