We are moving to Orange County Vermont. Can anyone offer recommendations for the best farriers and vets in the area. I’m not looking for the cheapest but would rather pay a little more to get the best service, care and reliability. Anyone in particular to stay away from?? Any advice would be appreciated. Feel free to PM if needed.
Dr David Lamb is a fantastic vet, he is in south strafford vt and does travel down to us in west Windsor on a regular basis. He is a great horseman, does chiro as well and is all around a great vet.
I think Jim Sweeny (farrier) might get to your area and he is really good, he does some of our horses and does a really good job, even for the specialty cases.

I am not sure if Bridgewater is in Orange county but Heather Hoynes was great when I was up there years ago
Allison Cornwall is a great vet, large animal, not just horses. Also love Will Barry: he’s an older gentleman, but a great guy and very experienced.
I know a few farriers who will service that area, but I can’t recommend any personally.
Not sure if you’ve checked equinesite.com? Someone might be able to help on that site. I know people in the northwest and southwest but not Orange County unfortunately. Reagardless it’s beautiful up there.
