Farriers of comparable skill... and much less comparable prices

Well, I hope the new farrier works out. Advising the OP to think about a back up plan that doesn’t involve the old farrier if things don’t work out with the new one was genuine advice that I would give (and have given) to some of my closest friends in similar situations. I’ve had horses for 30 years. I’m speaking from experience. I’m not just trying to rattle OP’s cage.
