Freshman sire Bolt d’Oro has some very nice get from some very good mares.
Also yearlings from City of Light, Justify and Good Magic.
Proven sires Uncle Mo, Curlin, and Into Mischief are well represented along with many others.
Should be a great sale.
Two Gun Runners. Interesting to see how they do, as he seems to be siring some nice horses.
Hip 76 Gun Runner x Dayfa colt has an interesting pedigree. His 3rd dam, Quiet Dance, who produced Saint Liam and Quiet Giant, is Gun Runner’s 2nd dam.

And he seems to have a good walk.
So far, quite a few RNA.
New to watching these auctions—how can you tell that a horse is RNA’d? (Maybe I’m not paying attention/hearing enough…)
It’s difficult to tell in the U.S. You can look at the results to see. https://www.fasigtipton.com/2021/The-Saratoga-Sale?section=5619#/
Nice Tapit filly. 990K
Uncle Mo o/o Bernardini Mare 1.6M
Sold for 850K
Bolt D’Oro x Lotta Kim 1.4M
Why does every single horse poop when they get in the ring? I assume they give them a little dose of Ace, is that what causes it?
Nerves mostly. It’s a lot of atmosphere for a yearling.
Into Mischief x Paola Queen 2.6M
hip 168 a very composed character
2.6M worth of composure.
Hip 192 very close to losing her composure; you could practically see steam coming out of her ears!
These handlers are amazing. I am awed every time I watch them - they make it look so easy.
I agree with you, Mara. The handlers are quick to suss out a young horse they haven’t met before and present them appropriately. They and the tireless poop man are the heroes of the auction.
Half to Catholic Boy, by Quality Road, in the ring now -
Edit - brought $685k. Wonder if it’s a buyback.
