Anyone else here do FastCAT with their dog?
We went to one event last year for the first time.
The dogs LOVED it.
We’ve been able to get to 2 more events so far this summer, might make one more before the snow.

DD’s dog is the sable, my dog is the black & tan.

I have friends (several) who do this with their dogs, and they all love it.
What is this? It looks like the dogs get to chase something and rip it to shreds?

All breeds and types of dog enjoy it though! 
The course is 100 yards long; there is snow fence on either side - and they have a lure on a string that’s “set” and released to zip down the course as/when the dog is released. A holder releases the dog, and they either chase the lure or just run to their “catcher” person.
My girl doesn’t care about the lure, just runs to me – even though I am but a tiny speck in the distance! It help that I practice a lot of distance sit-days and regularly call her from 100 feet away.

It’s basically a 100 yard dash for dogs, where they are chasing after a lure (typically, a plastic bag or squaker)
Dogs are timed, and score points based on a combination of their speed and handicap for their size.
My dog loves chasing AND catching the lure. DD’s dog love chasing it, but has no interest in actually biting/catching the lure.
It something fun, that any dog can do.
My dog trains/competes in Schutzhund/IGP, which can be mentally challenging for them.
DD’s dog is her ASD & they also do area searches, scent work & obedience trials.
So we went into this as a way for them to do something completely different, with very few rules & allows them to blow off some steam.

Yall have inspired me. I’m going to enter all 4 dogs into one of these in the near future. Yeah, even the old girl will get a try, though it’s far more likely she will point it.

The course was SLOW, but safe, with plenty of run out room.
Dogs were very happy to run.
