Oh god yes I love my buckwilds so, so much! I was an early adopter, and even my oldest pair from them still looks brand new.
Also love stickyseats, but they’re a bit heavier (cotton blend,) so I usually ride in them in cooler weather.
That is good to know! I wore my new Romfh’s (which I love BTW and they fit great) this past weekend for a schooling ride and for my XC on Sunday in 103+ weather and I have to say … as much as I did like them, I don’t think they were designed to keep you cool in hell-ish weather. I will check out the Buckwild Breeches as I know we have many more hot shows and XC schoolings coming up!
This is a hard question to answer because while I have lots of breeches I have my favorites, so they get worn a lot and wear out faster than the ones that sit in the drawer. I found a pair of Pikeurs on a wicked sale and LOVED them. To death. One day they sort of just collapsed. But it was not a slow decline. It was suddenly the elastic in the fabric went. Right now I have a pair of ELT (no I’d never heard of them either but they were on sale at Smartpak and they fit) and pair of Tredsteps. I wear them about the same amount and the ELTs are holding up better than the Tredstep.
My show Pikeurs are still great because they only get used occasionally.
