Since I ride with caged stirrups, I really prefer a good trail running shoe. Better tread, easier for getting off and tailing. My feet prefer New Balance or Merrell, but there are a lot of options. I gave up on Ariat awhile ago, they weren’t lasting long enough to justify their cost. It’s such a personal preference, but don’t discount hiking/running shoes!
