Show or school quality, or both. Don’t know a lot about comparing different brands. Thank you!
Arc de Triomphe, CWD, Edgewood, Five Star Tack, Vespucci, and Voltaire are some of the first ones that come to mind. They are all pretty pricey if bought new, but you can sometimes find some really good deals if you buy used! I have personally owned bridles from both CWD and Edgewood and can attest to how wonderful they are. They stand the test of time as the Edgewood hunter bridle I bought well used is still show worthy. Totally worth the splurge in my opinion!
I know SmartPak has sales on the Edgewood stuff periodically, and they also have their own brand of figure eight bridles if you want to go on the cheaper side of things. I can’t attest to the quality of their brand of bridles (Welfleet) though, so I can’t be any help there.
My first choice in a figure 8 is always Antares, followed by Edgewood. The Antares leather is very special and you can never go wrong with Edgewood, it will last forever. Both bridles can stand up to everyday use and still be nice enough to show in.
