Thinking of working on a MFS this year. I know my horse’s tempos… trainer measured them for me - but I need a metronome app so I can “test” music. I know there are some websites that list music by tempo and I have explored some of them… Mike Matson’s for example…
All ideas welcome!
I’m not an Apple person so I can’t comment on the best iPhone app, but you may want to look for one that has a tap for tempo feature. They let you tap along with the downbeat of music to measure the tempo in BPM.
yes that is what I need. NONE of the ones I found on google mentioned it… they were all geared towards musicians “keeping” a tempo. That’s why I asked here. thanks!
I use the Soundbrenner free metronome app, which has that feature. Not sure if it’s the best option for iPhone but might be worth a look.
I just bought a cheap clip on metronome online. It’s way smaller than a phone and can be clipped on your belt
looking for one to measure music… to find music of a specific tempo. Not necessarily to ride with…
Ok, the clip ons are cheap and work for that too. I find riding with the metronome helps me stay with the desired tempo regardless. I often feel like I’m flying when video shows otherwise, it’s another tool.
If that’s what you’re looking for, try searching for BPM counter instead of metronome. Tap Tempo looks like it might be what you need.
Sort of related to this. I bought a small metronome off Amazon Prime last year to help me with my tempo. Turns out it’s a trigger for my guy. He pretty much lost it when we turned it on and became so UP, it turned into Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride.
So I guess I would just suggest making sure that you are able to turn the tone down, or listen through headset.
thanks!!
