You can buy a little waterproof thingy to hold your license. I do that with mine because it has my duck stamps on it and I don’t want it to get ruined. If you can’t find the blaze orange license holder you can use a little snack ziplock bag.
But for foxhunting what I do is print out several copies of my license, and keep it in my vest, in a waterproof holder, along with a copy of my insurance card, and emergency contact info.
In the event of a serious accident it is inadvisable to remove a helmet - but having the info in the vest or coat makes it easier for EMT’s and others to get vital info.
And if the CPO’s check your license, it’s easier to get it out of your pocket than unbuckle your helmet and fish for it - especially if your horse is being fussy.
The nice thing about the online license is that you can print out a lot of them - and can put them in various jackets and vests - no worries about forgetting the darn thing.
I also keep one in the jacket I use for basseting for the same reason.
Hope that helps.
