What are your favorite pre show shines? that don’t let the saddle slip or leave wet spots on the horses coat?
Unfortunately most of the shine sprays which make it possible to see your own reflection in the horse’s coat are most likely going to make them slippery. You could just avoid the saddle area though. I love the Mane & Tail brand detangler spray and have been known to douse my horse in it (including the saddle area) with no ill effects  It’s not going to give you the super shine that say Show Sheen or Laser Sheen will, but it makes the coat super soft and slick without looking or feeling like you coated the horse in baby oil. I just lightly spray my guy, give it a few minutes to dry a bit, and then run a soft brush over him.
Carr & Day & Martin Dreamcoat. Love the stuff!! Doesn’t leave the hair slippery and the lemongrass smell is absolutely fantastic!!

I guess Show Sheen. But honestly, if you groom regularly and your horse is on good feed and hay you should not need a spray except maybe for his tail if it gets tangled.
A sheepskin mitt used after every curry and brushing will really bring out the shine.
I love Healthy Haircare moisturizer from smartpak. I have a grey mare and all the washing with quicsilver or even just regular shampoos left her coat coarse and brittle. I got this product from smartpak and I love it. It has no silicone. It’s a concentrate so I mixed some up and started spraying her coat and mane daily after grooming or rinsing her off after riding and then I massage it in with my hands. Total recovery of her coat. Love it!
Vetrolin Shine. And Cowboy Magic shine spray in the tail. LOVE it.

Yes! Tried this recently and my current favourite. Fabulous stuff and it smells amazing!
Vetrolin Shine - I LOVE the stuff! I’ve also used a cattle product called Revive. It comes in a can (around $9) and comes out foamy but then quickly dissolves into the coat and you just run a brush over them. It smells fantastic. I prefer to use it on my chestnut - it tends to make my black gelding look a little poofy, he gets velvety instead of slick.
I like the pink stuff “Healthy Haircare.” But it works even better for my dog’s coat. That stuff takes thew tangles out like magic and smells delicious.
I use either Grand Champion or my favorite, Ultra Shin spray. The finishing touch just before going in the ring. Both leave a really high shine.
I also like Vetrolin shine. I try to keep it in my horses tail and only brush it a few times a week. One of my horses with a wimpy tail is finally getting thick.
I also love feeding Flax oil. My horses coat has never looked better. The vet told me to feed it when he got a bit of a coat issue. People will comment how shiny he is.

I also suggest Healthy HairCare Hair Moisturizer

One of the pink bottles of concentrate makes about 4 quarts of spray. LOVE this stuff.
Ecolicious “Glossy”. I love the ecolicious products - they work well and give me peace of mind to know I am using all natural products on my horses.
