Favorite rubber reins?

I really like the rubber reins that came with my Micklem bridle, but they aren’t long enough to do any stretchy work with my moose of a horse. The other options at my local tack shop were either super thick or super stiff. I’m nervous about buying online, so I am curious what brands everybody likes. I need them to be available in at least a 60 inch, possibly longer.

I have a set of the Dyon “Working Collection” 1/2 inch rubber reins that are super supple. I really like them and find them comfortable in my hands, and they are affordable ($75 Canadian if I remember correctly). I’m not sure on the exact length but I think they would be around 60 inches, I found them to be a little long a 15.3 hand horse I used to ride. A friend also has a set and she has no issues doing long and low work on her very long horse.

I don’t like rubber reins generally, but nunn finer makes a set that don’t have the leather core, which I like better.
My go to for nonslip though is thinline reins. comfy and never slip.

A while ago I bought a pair of Jerrys, rubber with stops. I love them and wish I had bought several sets. Anyone know anywhere that makes a similar rein?

Another vote for the Nunn Finer reins! I really do not like rubber reins, but am happy riding in these ones. They’re thin, soft and flexible, but don’t feel fragile, stretchy or sticky.

I love my Nunn Finers and IMHO they run long.

I love the Nunn Finer Eventa reins. They are thicker than the pebble grip version, though. They seem to run long also.

The Jeffries Biogrip reins are lovely. They are similar in feel to Nunn Finer but I think a bit nicer…very soft and bendy.

The Nunnfiner and Jeffries biogrip are made with a biothane that looks like rubber pebble grip reins, but are very strong, flexible and comfortable to hold. You can also get them from Schneiders for a bit less.

I have a nice pair that are just way too long for my current horse that I could sell if you are interested. If not I like Stubben and Pink Equine the Best personally.

Can you PM me please?

They are at the barn, I will grab them next time I am there and PM you after.
