Favorite saddle pads?

Need to replace a few older saddle pads that I have. Which are your favorites out there now and why? I do really like the LeMieux but they are pricey, open to other suggestions as well. Has to be a nice material that isn’t still. Prefer fun colors and wither clearance as well. Thanks!

I picked up some cheaper Arma saddle pads on sale and they are holding up nicely. My LeMieux pads are better colors, but both stay off his withers and seem breathable enough for hot weather.

I live my winderen pads! They’re very customizable, shaped to give very good wither clearance, and a good thickness- you can use a half pad without it being too thick but it’s not thin like a baby pad. Mine have held up well- one I’ve had almost 2 years and there’s just a bit of fraying where the girth goes.
They do have a rougher, “waffle” texture on the inside which my horses don’t care about but a sensitive skinned horse might. It’s really not that rough though.
eta more expensive than lemieux but they are so durable that I just have one winderen for schooling, a backup Lemieux, and a winderen for showing. That’s all I needed, but if you’re someone that likes a bunch of colors it might not be the best option

Just started using these this year and LOVE them. Wicking material and breathable. Easy to throw in the wash after every ride. Padded but not too much. Fun designs. Uploading: IMG_0167.jpeg… Uploading: IMG_0166.jpeg…

These don’t come in fun colors, but if you are looking for good basic saddle pads the Equifit essential square pads are amazing! They wash amazing and have a wider spine that helps them lay really nicely. They are actually on sale right now in a lot of places for 4th of July for around 50 dollars. Can’t recommend them enough!

Equestrian Stockholm has 30% off sitewide right now. Their pads are fantastic and last forever—lots of wither relief, wash well, etc.

Lemieux of course, some of the kids at the barn also like the Weatherbeeta pads which are very similar to Lemieux but more affordable.

EcoGold pads are WONDERFUL but $$. You can find used ones on marketplace for good prices.

Ogilvy baby pads are also very nice, and they’re pretty reasonably priced.

Mine live in Ogilvy baby pads. No slip, no rub, and still going strong after 9 years!

I love the Equestrian Stockholm pads. Pricey but hold up well. Cool colors. Grab sales when you can. If you want pink hold out until October. They had breast cancer sales on the pink. I grabbed a really pretty one 2 years ago. Generally I am not a pink/red kinda girl but the one I got was pretty.

Love the Ogilvy profile pads. Decently customizable color/piping options and they wash super well.
