Favorite show gloves that aren't too hot?

I need some advice on what the best gloves are for very hot weather that are nice enough to show in (unrated local shows). I don’t usually ride in gloves so I don’t like anything thick or bulky. I tried on a pair of Roeckls at Dover a couple weeks ago but the seams in the fingers were so thick. Maybe I tried the wrong “model”?

I have been loving the Samshield V-Skin gloves, they are a bit pricey, but have held up really well, and the seams aren’t in weird places. They are the best fitting gloves I have ever worn (and I am usually not a glove wearer, but coach likes me wearing them).

I love the SSG string-back gloves. That’s pretty much all I ride in unless it is really, really cold. I have a black pair for shows and a purple/tan pair for home. I don’t find that they are ever too hot.

I ride in theRoeckls Chesters and love them. However if that is the pair you tried on and didn’t like, I was going to recommend the Samshield as well. I’ve tried on a couple pairs and keep lusting after them-very light, flexible and look super nice.

I love the SSG Kool Flo gloves. I find them cooler and more comfortable than the crochet-back gloves. I’ve shown in them as well and don’t think the judge looked to see if I was wearing the “right” kind of gloves.

I love these gloves (and have 2 pair), but I don’t think they’re the best for hot weather. My hands get pretty sweaty in them.

Any chance you tried on the Roeckle winter Chester? The summer version is lighter. I especially like the ones with the mesh back for summer riding. But then I have all of the Chester versions, as well as a double layer winter pair, if I can ever find them.

I have a pair of Heritage Pro-Flow gloves, which I really like for summer showing:

They are very comfortable and good-looking; the palms are thin leather, and the mesh back isn’t at all obvious.

I also have a pair of the Power-Grips, which are an in-between glove: not a mesh-back like the Pro-Flows above, but still cooler than leather gloves. They are made of fabric but are a bit dressier than schooling gloves. Best of all: they are machine washable.

I love SSG most models, but especially the all weather gloves.
