Favorite Small Businesses

Hello all! I am planning on making up a list of some awesome small equestrian business that may not be well known as a barn resource (since I always get asked where I get everything), and I thought this would be a fun way to discover some I perhaps haven’t heard of yet!

So post your favorite small equestrian business, everything from giftware, clothing, tack, etc.

Here’s a short list of some of mine, off the top of my head:
Herbal Horse
Shop Hunt Club
Sporthorse Lifestyle
Corsia - I would love to try one of their bridles!
GhoDho - some of my favorite breeches, can’t wait to see their new line!
Aztec Diamond Equestrian - absolutely LOVE their breeches and get SO many compliments on them

My Barn Child! They have earrings, charms, scarves, etc…

The Clothes Horse! Started by company founder Edith Friedman in 1972, it is now still owned and run by a woman, Katrina Coldren. A privately owned and small business, they custom make great things for your equine (and you!).

Higher Standards - tack cleaning stuff and a COTH’er.

Love her stuff. It’s the first time I’ve used something down to the bottom - usually get bored and toss/lose/loan it away before I finish anything!

Ah yes, totally forgot to add HSLC! I too love their products, and am stretching my tub as long as I can in anticipation of the yummy holiday scents!

^^ seconded. I just put in a $150 order with her  because everyone at my barn wanted a jar! She sends them out with little peppermints and butterscotch candies for the horses, which I think is so cute.

is it that good 541? I’ve been debating getting some

BITSA, it’s really nice. The scents are subtle, but it is so pleasant to use.

It makes my tack feel so soft and supple, it’s insane. I haven’t even had to condition my saddle or bridle at all in like 6 months because the soap is so rich and buttery. Not a huge fan of their conditioner but that’s just me; others in my barn like it. You can get the little sample jars from her for pretty cheap if you want to give it a whirl before you commit, but I bet you’ll wish you bought the big version!

Hayward!!! Beautiful jackets and shirts, so easy to get custom things from them. They also have several items for breast cancer awareness.
