What are some of your favorite brands that are not as popular as others for tack, clothing, & health care (shampoos, sprays, etc…)? I want to try out other brands besides Ariat, Mountain Horse, and others like it.
For bridles and leather goods - I love Bobby’s.
Hate and will not use Passier Lederbalsam. Instead I love and always use Ko-Cho-Line. You can get it on Amazon.
For inexpensive breeches - HRH comes to mind.
Saddles - I think the Bates Innova is sorely underrated.
For shampoo and tack cleaner, I love the War Horse products:

Biostar has some awesome care products.
Traumera is a great product for minor scrapes and bites:

Especially nice on a grey horse because it dries white!
For every day leather cleaner I really like this start-up company called Clear View Farm. Smells delicious and does a great job cleaning without the “gunk” build-up of some 2-in-1 type cleaners.
For tack cleaning, I’ve discovered that I really like the Belvoir products. Their spray on cleaner works and is quick and easy, and the conditioner is rich and seems to do a great job nourishing leather.
I also like the Dover circuit dressage pads, with the sheepskin - affordable and very serviceable.
For tack cleaning Higher Standards cleaner and conditioner.
For breeches Buckwild breeches
For bridles HKM
and I’m really impressed with my HDR dressage saddle, it rides much better than its price tag.
Flexible Fit Equestrian.

Australian. Beautiful quality leather. Tasteful choices. Even more beautiful exchange rate…expect about a 30% discount when converting to U.S. dollars.
I use Ecolicious products for bathing and grooming and really like them. You don’t have to rinse their sheath cleaner, Smeg-U-Later (though I do). http://ecoliciousequestrian.com/.
I have many, many Equinelux saddle pads and think they are great quality. Though prices have gone up over the past few years. http://equinelux.com/
Love the Herbs for Horses supplements. A lot of research goes into their products through the University of Guelph. https://www.horseherbs.com/
Prochaps are very comfortable and breathable. http://www.prochaps.com/
Bonus for you guys in the US is that these are Canadian companies and our exchange rate sucks!
Ditto Herbs for Horses. Also Ogilvy saddle pads because they are Canadian and make an XL dressage pad! Love HKM breeches. Used to love Boogaloo horse boots but they don’t seem as durable now as they used to be.
La Valencio for rider wear, horse wear and bridles. Really really good hard wearing products at realistic prices, and the leather is better than some i have purchased at nearly 4 x the cost!
Rider By Horse-another European brand. Bit bigger price tag but very good quality items that are fashionable without being OTT in terms of colour or bling.
HKM for horse boots, as nice as Eskadron at half the price.
Rugs-Ruggles. the ONLY rugs that fit my diary bull KWPN stallion. The neck covers in XL are the only ones that dont rub him bald!
not sure if you guys can buy these in the US but if you can, they are SO worth checking out.
I really love Leovet products (http://www.leovet.de/en/) Their skin care offerings are the best I have ever found. And now you can get them here through a fellow COTH-er at Argento Equestrian!! (https://www.argentoeq.com/)
I’ve also become a fan of HKM/Cavallino Marino products and our AMAZING local rep has just picked up a new line of gorgeous show shirts that I can’t wait to try…
I LOVE Easy Rider breeches - they are a line from EuroStar, which is a well known, pricey line. The Easy Riders aren’t really available in the US, but are really popular as a “casual line” of breeches in Europe. They aren’t “cheap”, but compared to EuroStars, they are a bargain, and the quality is great.
I can’t say I’ve found a lot of “unknown brands” that hold up to hard wear and tear.
I am in love with these hay nets. Heavy duty, mine has lasted for 6 months with daily use. They are easy to load and the large size holds half a hay bale. Also easy to tie up, stay tied, and easy to undo the knots. Plus the price is right!
I sincerely hope that the prices do not go up as popularity does because I am slowly collecting them for my herd.

Not known in the horse world, I love cheapo Suave Essentials 2 in 1 shampoo with conditioners. Discovered them in the clearance bin at the grocery store for a $1 each. A little shampoo goes a long way and rinses quickly. The bonus, it comes in great scents.
