Favorite Web Hay Bag

Looking to switch out my hay nets to something with a web strap. I have a senior horse who has started wearing down his front teeth and thought a web strap might be easier on his teeth than the usual net. Currently we’re using Hay Chix nets with 3/4" holes.

Tried porta grazers but ended up not being a good fit because he has heaves. Also tried hay pillows but they collected too much dirt and shavings inside, plus I’m not able to soak his hay.

I have Nibble Nets that are at least ten years old and still in perfect condition. People and horse preferences vary of course but I like mine.

Maybe you can try this horse feed bag, there are many varieties to choose from, or this Knotless Slow Feed Hay Net, which is unlikely to harm the senior horse.

I’ll second the Nibble Nets - back when I bought mine there were basically two size options, now she has a bunch of different varieties - mine have been through three different barns and look as good as the day I bought them.

Another vote for the Nibble Nets-they are easy to fill and wear like iron. Schneider’s also makes a web strap type hay bag which is a nice but less durable alternative. I currently have a set of the smaller nibble nets for the trailer and use the Schneider’s version in stalls.
