Favourite equestrian YouTubers?

Looking for some more equestrians to subscribe to on YouTube. I like Natasha Althoff, gezzcanezz, equiially was okay, neddiesgun91/eddiesgun91 is brilliant but doesn’t post very much anymore… I watch daybydayvlogs most days but it does frustrate me sometimes when they do silly things that you just know are a bad idea.

Which YouTubers does everybody else like to watch?

Elisa Wallace Eventing: UL eventer who does RRP and also the mustang challenges
Harmony Horsemanship: does mustang challenges and RRP
Thoroughbred Daily News: all things TB racing
NEddiesgun: show jumper
Matt Harnacke: dressage, some of his videos are kind of goofy and have “challenges” but it’s a fun watch
YourRidingSuccess: UL dressage rider from Australia, lots of tutorials
Hackett Equine: dressage rider
JETEventing/JETEquestrian: eventer turned positive reinforcement
sdequus: she gallops TBs and is bringing her SPCA rescue horse Milo along as a show jumper
ZLEquestrian: show jumper, newer channel (big following on IG), has a lot of TBs
Fox Pitt Equestrian: WPF, enough said
Han Equestrian: based in Australia, various riding vlogs/health issues/etc. with her horses, kind of an easy to watch “feel good” channel
Noelle Floyd: wanna feel poor? Subscribe
Keeneland: self explanatory

Smaller channels I’ll watch sometimes that I’d like to shout out:

Allison Vidro: she does a lot of tack hauls, barn vlogs, etc. she used to event but I think is strictly doing dressage now, just got a young OTTB project as well
Keelari: she posts a lot of product reviews, she shops a LOT and buys a LOT, so if you’re interested in PS of Sweden or LeMieux products, watch her channel because if it exists, I’m sure she has it and has reviewed it (video/audio quality is so-so)

I also watch the channels for big TB breeding farms but wasn’t sure how interested people would be in those so I didn’t include them in my list.

Try Elphick.Event.Ponies. The sound can be annoying sometimes as the intro will be loud then when the video starts you have to turn it up to hear her speak. I got hooked on her videos after watching one where she went to an auction. Found it interesting!

With apologies for not following the directions since these aren’t on YouTube:

Amanda of the $900 Facebook Pony blog has started doing vlogs of her young event horse:
https://the900facebookpony.com/2020/03/02/presto-vlog-1-the-introduction/

PetPlan in the UK has quite a bit of content scattered around. One I liked recently was having eventer Lucinda Green and dressage rider Charlie Hutton switch horses and give each other a lesson:

These are though:

Warwick Schiller for horsemanship and training https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC413ZepFqtG6Bhb8Lv7ugFA

Likewise, Tristan Tucker (and Brett Kidding) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCraXTWfpmYUel5Lq1193_tw

Elphick.Event.Ponies- eventing ponies - a very cute vlog
Hackett Equine- dressage/show jumping - she’s awesome and names her chickens things like Victoria Peckham and Margaret Hatcher…
Joseph Newcomb- dressage- I love the shopping in Europe vlogs
LifeOTLR - eventers- Very very British- like jolly hockey sticks British!
Olivia Towers- dressage- lessons with CH but very hard on herself

I really like Olivia Towers Dressage. She is very real when it comes to vlogging. She shows a lot of what goes on in her life whether it’s very personal or not.
HLH equestrian. She has 2 channels, Hannah Lucy and the eventervlogs. She’s an Australian eventer that has gone into the showjumping world.
I also like Matt Harnacke. He does dressage and his content is high quality and sometimes gives you a good laugh.
Joe Stockdale is a showjumper from the UK that shows his life as an upper level rider taking over his dads business. I thinks it’s really cool to see his success and the life he has been given at such a young age!

There are other great equestrian vloggers out there but these are my top favorites!

I forgot about HLH, I second this, her videos are great! She has a pretty nice product line too (riding apparel.)

If you like Matt Harnacke you can watch his boyfriend’s channel as well, Jesse Drent.

Second Olivia Towers, and I like This Esme, brings me back to my pony time

I half watch daybyday but they annoy me when they do stupid things, especially when they get their kids inappropriate horses and their “coach” thinks it’s also a good idea.

Seconding many on this list like Hackett Equine, Elphick, and Equine Mollie BUT

My biggest recommendation is Holly Lenahan. Show jumper, starting to dabble in dressage. Mix of vlogs/training vids/show vlogs. She has such a quiet, lovely way of working with her horses, especially the young ones. I’ve loved watching her progress through the years, her homebreds turning in to confident jumpers with her training. Sometimes vlogs with others like Neddiesgun.

As a bonus her Dad is in some videos and he’s an absolute hoot.

I used to watch them every day when I got home from work, but their videos started stressing me out so I had to stop. Nice people, and their hearts are in the right place, but so many things they do are unsafe (not latching their halters, no leg protection on their green/under-muscled horses while jumping, for example) and they continually buy inappropriate horses. I’m just not a fan anymore, unfortunately.

Tara – lovely lady from the UK whose riding videos are inspiring me to get back into the saddle. Beautiful home and property. Profile photo is a Friesian’s head.

John Madden Sales – inner workings of the Madden batn with some neat instructional videos.

Stable Horse Training – Canadian vlog. Natural horsemanship/behavioral but I watch because he’s got mud management and drainage knowledge and shares tips/building videos.

Natasha Althoff/YourRidingSuccess – used to watch her a lot but have recently unsubscribed. Worth checking out though.

I miss Evention :frowning:

I miss Evention too!

My favorites: Elisa Wallace, Holly Lenehan, Hackett Equine, Sam VanFleet, Isidro Espinoza Horsemanship, Matt Harnacke and Jesse Drent.

Holly Lenahan’s homebreds are gorgeous horses!

Like Finn. A totally ridiculous choice for a nervous rider. She needed something like Storm. STELLA scared her to death and she refused to ride her, and she wasn’t as difficult as Finn!
