Very interesting. I wonder how long until they say why?!
Wow! That’s all I can say.
It’s about time.
Interesting…I wanna know WHY!
I was just searching for a thread to post that link on. I too am anxious to hear what this is about. I don’t necessarily agree with many of their practices but didn’t think they were illegal.
Since it was the feds and they were taking boxes and computers…not horses…and considering the time of year, I’m guessing it has to do with taxes?
I am with LauraKY.
I was told by very reliable sources this was coming several weeks ago. IMO it is/was a sham non-profit.
Here is a link to our dealings with this outfit draw your own conclusions.
So Sheidy says this has to do with bad paperwork (health certificates and Coggins?). Is this a federal issue in the first place? Or do you guys think the feds are there for tax evasion?

The FBI is involved because of tax evasion/wire fraud or some multi-state criminal activity.
It is about time.

Here you go. I was just told they have been under investigation for 2 years. This is not a recent problem
They have sold horses for meat buyers and their usual…we just saved this horse and need donations proved to be false.
They were tracked purchasing a horse for $50.00 (saving it from a meat buyer alleged) and then posted it for $550.00 saying this was the price they needed to save it from the “slaugher transport pipeline”
They have been reported on numerous occasions by rescues and other individuals how have done “business” that they are, in fact, horse brokers and are not a charity.
While there may be an issue regarding some type of certificate, that would not be the reason to have the BIG GUNS…FBI jump into their affairs.
That is done when they believe they have a valid case of fraud.
They had certain groups from ASB’s to Arabs to Morgans and TWH’s etc where they would go onto their forums and do the pleas for money. In numerous ASB cases the horses were advertised that donors needed to pay $550 to $750.00
I came under fire for pointing out in this economy that was a sale…not an adoption.
This may also start to restrict some of the adoption fees AND demands i.e. adoptor not able to actually own the horse.
Doh, I was so excited to read this, and ran here hoping to share the story first. You ladies are fast.
It’s been a scam for years, with them double fundraising for horses and the whole broker double dipping. Christy saying it’s about health certificates, erm, I’d guess not. Wake up Christy, things are about to get real.
I wonder how Forever Morgans is taking the news…since they’ve been using their tax ID number and all.
It’s about flippin’ time!!!
I went to see a horse through them when I first moved to PA, probably around 2007ish, Bobby’s Honor, nice big TB, great personality. When I spoke to Christy, she laughed at me for wanting a TB to be a jumper. Huh?
I walked away as the place just didn’t feel right to me, just a gut feeling. Obviously since, I’ve learned a lot more about then.
Bobby’s Honor is back there with them again for some reason. I board my horse, and so can only afford one, which I have. I really hope he finds a soft landing, he’s a nice horse.
Edit to add - I bet Brian Moore is currently scrambling to get rid of whatever records he has.
So, now when will we hear about the same thing happening to Crossed Sabres?
Add me to the list of people who had really bad experiences with ac4h.
What nobody rushing to their defense and saying how wonderful their experience was? Things seem to have changed around here.

Christy and her alters are busy changing their underwear and talking to lawyers.
