Feed woes: buckeye vs ...??

my horses have been on buckeye feed for a year. They’ve done well on it but I moved last spring and am having a very difficult time sourcing it or having it delivered.

Im considering switching to a feed that is more ubiquitous like Purina, neutrena, or TC
has anyone used buckeye growth or cadence ultra that switched to something else?

If you post the GA and the ingredients list, maybe some posters who feed something similar will recognize it and make a recommendation.

So I still use Buckeye Gro-N-Win as a RB but switched this summer from Cadence Ultra to Purina Ultium Competition and have been very happy with the Purina. I needed a lower NSC feed than the Cadence for a young horse, and my older horse who was on GnW + Cadence is doing very well on the Gro-N-Win + Ultium.

@JB let me know that the Ultium line is fixed formula, so that’s why I was willing to switch from the Cadence. My older horse is very picky and when the TC Sr formula changed a few years ago he stopped eating it…

Just throwing this out there,if you really like Buckeye, I believe Chewy carries some of their products. Just an option if you didn’t want to switch.

Open to ideas…

Without knowing what brands you can get, nobody can make feasible suggestions.

Easiest thing is to take the feed tags off your current bags and compare them to the Purina, Nutrena our TC labels at your feed dealer if that is the easiest feed for you to access.

That’s already something I did and that most would do in this situation. What I was looking for was more experiences from people who were in a situation like mine and may have switched to something else, doesn’t necessarily have to match the bag tag

Seeing now you can get Triple Crown, the Senior would be my top pick
