FeedXL or alternatives

I just got my hay analysis back, and I need to run the numbers to figure out what its missing.

Is there any program I can enter my hay and water analysis into and it’ll tell me what, if anything, I need to supplement, the trace mineral ratio and accounts for very tiny horses? I have 2 minis and a large pony.

Normally, I’d crunch the numbers by hand…but I don’t have the time. I have a bottle baby who needs feedings every 2-3 hours…between feeding her and farm chores, I barely have time to eat and sleep much less do these calculations.

Is FeedXL worthwhile? Are there any other similar options?

As I recall, you enter a generic “quality” of pasture on FeedXL": good, average, poor. I don’t remember being able to enter the specifics from your hay analysis. I do recall that the person who heads up FeedXL did respond to my inquiries in a timely manner.

I was a Beta tester for FeedXL when it first came out, and I will attest that the customer service was fantastic. At that time there wasn’t a lot of pre-entered feeds (especially from Canada) so I would just email the label info and the FeedXL team would input it extremely quickly (like same day service!).

Feed Xl is soooo worth it! The fact that you have a hay analysis means you can really fine tune your horses diet. It’s a wonderful tool and as others have said the customer service is top notch.

I use FeedXL and love it! I feel better knowing that my horse is getting everything that he should be getting in his diet. The price for FeedXL is super cheap when you think how much it really does. It truly saves me a ton of time! I would reccomend it for sure!
