Oh, man, did they drop the ball with how they’ve updated their site. Who the heck is in charge? It’s the freaking OLYMPICS, people!!! We want quick links on the freaking home page that then takes us to articles, etc. Someone smack their website developers and whoever approved these craptastick changes.
I’m surprised no one else agrees. You guys must have figured out how to navigate the damn thing.
I just went to their site. It’s taking so long to load on my laptop that it’s slowing down my COTH connection.
What problems are you having with it?
gee Velvet, hows that drama issue in your family working out?:lol::lol:
I have to agree – for me, it either loads so long (spinning wheel of doom) that I give up on it – or the few pages that do load are way too busy.
It is pretty much equally damnable as the NBC Olys site – you can find pages about your sport of interest pretty easily, and links to the livestreams very easily – but a scoreboard/leaderboard/results? Very hard to find, and when you do get to it, it is a huge thing that bleeds off the screen horizontally and vertically and may or may not be the simple score/standing thing you are looking for. Geez. In this case I have to share some of Velvet’s cyber rage.
not sure where you are looking but I could follow the dressage rides on the FEI site with movement by movement scores
no issues with my system, perhaps the issue is with your computer / tablet
It’s the FEI.org site–which is now an FEI fan site. It’s really awful. The fei olympics page is not quite as bad but was very iffy for me. It wouldn’t automatically update for more than one rider or two, and then it froze. Getting back was very dicey.

I tried to look up the Chilean rider’s career results and found it totally impossible. The only way I could get to it was to google FEI results and his name. I could not navigate there from the new home page which reads like a tabloid for horses.
It may sound stodgy but I blame the internet generation who have the attention span of gnats, can’t focus long enough to read about anything in detail (hello death of long form journalism), and don’t care about information (hello crappy web pages).
The new site is so very unprofessional.
Took me a bit to figure out the new site too, and I have to have it open all day!
You can avoid the new FEI fan site by going directly go http://inside.fei.org/. You can also find the FEI site that you know and love by going to www.fei.org, then selecting the purple box in the upper right hand corner, then selecting “Inside FEI” on the upper right hand corner.
Good luck from Rio!

Thanks. I couldn’t freaking find the Olympic results due to the craptastick fan page up front. Totally torques me off, and does not help promote the sports if the biggest events this year are very difficult to find!
