Fenwick Liquid Titanium sheet v Back on Track v Pofessional Choice

I ran a search and got a couple of hits…some from a few years back when they were universally dismissed, and one from a couple of years ago when people were warming to them.

Confession, love Back on Track stuff, started by buying it for me, lived in my knee braces until my replacement, LOL have a feeling I will be wearing one again once the swelling subsided, to keep that chunk of metal warm in the winter. I bought Royal Work boots for my last mare, she went well in them.

My new mare…who I haven’t had hands on much, in training while I recover from that replacement, looks tight in her videos, and trainer reports she is a cold keeper…so I have already bought her blanket liners and a quarter sheet.

Now I’m thinking that a BOT or Fenwick sheet would be a good investment, pre warm her for work, help her relax. Either are quite an investment, but i’m Hearing some good reports of the Fenwick. They are said to be less ‘swearty’ than BOT.

Anyone using them, got any feedback?

I’m not sold on the liquid titanium over the ceramic. I got a Professional’s Choice Theramic sheet for my mare (ceramic fibers just like BOT) and it’s fantastic. (and much cheaper)

How iis the wear on the Prof Choice, is it easy care, can you use it in summer? One of the attractions of the Fenwick is that it is not too hot in the summer.

I just got it a 5 or 6 weeks ago.
I’m in Florida, so I’m pretty sure any blanket/sheet is too hot in summer here. It’s very light, I’m sure it’d be okay in a Canadian summer. I’ve used it at night at about 65°F at the warmest, she didn’t get hot or sweaty.

I’m guessing not many people are using them, because of the lack of response…

ETA, changed title to see if it promotes more responses.

I have a Fenwick and a BoT poll cap. I do like the fenwick for the warmer seasons when the BoT wouldn’t work. I do think my horse is more comfortable with the poll caps on.

I don’t know enough about the Fenwick to invest in one. I have stuff from BoT, Draper, Schneiders Lux, and Rambo. The Rambo Ionic blanket is my newest addition, and the horse clearly loves it - more so than his BoT sheet.

I am a big believer in BOT after using them on myself while recovering from sciatica. I do find that I need to wear mine more than a few hours at a time though. With that in mind I started leaving my gelding in his sheet under his normal winter clothes and noticed definite improvements. I also own a Fenwick sheet for the warm season, I’m not completely sold on its effectiveness compared to the BOT. I’m not sure I’ve given it the same opportunity to work though. I do love Fenwick’s earplugs, I call them our magic earplugs lol

My horse loves his BOT mesh sheet and Draper products. He did not like the BOT saddle pad but the Draper saddle pads and quarter sheet are making a big difference in riding in “cold” (for him under 40…and we live outside Chicago so…)
