This is an extended trailer for the film, We are a Horse Nation. It is very well done, it is hard for me to watch without getting tears in my eyes and shivers at the same time for the deeply moving messages.
There are links where the full movie can be rented or purchased to download or on DVD, and I am going to watch the full movie, as well.
But as a sort of spin-off/related to the film about the Nez Perce and their Appaloosas, I thought that this was very interesting. Also interesting as well in terms of following after the National Museum of the American Indians (NMAI) exhibit, A Song for the Horse Nation. I have no idea if the film and exhibit have any relation, though in a more general way, both speak to the thriving presence and cultural meanings of the horse to American Indians in the present day.
