I wasn’t sure if I should post this in missing horses since he wasn’t stolen but if this needs to be moved I understand.
I know this is a wasted post but I feel defeated in trying to find my old guy. I blame myself for it 100% that he’s gone now. I am looking for a buckskin Quarter Horse gelding who is probably around the Kentucky/West Virginia/Ohio area. Two years ago I gave him to the barn owner where I was boarding and was told he was sold at an auction in Kentucky (we are right near the border).
He is approximately 16 hands and a buttermilk buckskin without any markings. His name is Dandy and he was foaled in 1996. I owned him from 1998 until 2008 when due to a family tragedy (my father was murdered). I panicked and just had so much grief, anger, hurt feelings. Everything running through me and he was being leased and then I found out some more bad news about my father and my gelding’s lease came to an end and I gave him up (trying to sum it up). I feel so guilty and would love to find him.
I am chicken and will not contact the barn owner but I doubt she would be helpful anyways, especially after all of this time. I know this is a large board so I just wanted to check here :-). Please, if you are going to flame me please do not. I hate to put that out there. I feel so horrible already. Thank you for reading.
