I just bought a real nice quarter horse mare with no papers supposedly came from Wyoming. She is 12 so origin may not be Wyoming for sure. Her and and a Red Roan both had a Z brand on the left shoulder. Any idea where I might find this ranch.

Is it just a Z? I don’t see a plain Z listed for left shoulder of horse. I see a Z- and a Z with a line under it, a Z with an arrow coming out of it, etc. You might want to look through there and see if anything matches. (It would say LSH at the bottom of the entry for left shoulder of horse. Cattle and sheep brands are listed too.)
It’s just a plain Z. I searched brands on line and found one with the arrow going down but that was the only one I saw.
