I have an off the track standardbred, and would love to find some photos of him from his racetrack days. Where would one start to go about searching for photos? I have tried a simple Google search of his name + harness racing, and did not have any luck photo-wise. Do racetracks keep a database of all win photos? I appreciate any help!
You would have to contact the race photographer at the track(s) where he raced. If he’s raced recently you should be able to get some copies. Do you have his race lines (list of results)? They would list the track, and you could find the track website which sometimes lists how to contact the photographer, or you might have to contact the track directly to get a hold of the photographer. I know the one at Rideau Carleton has photos going back years on file at least electronically.
ETA: Congratulations on getting a STB, we have a couple we race and I just love them, right up along side my love for QHs.

If you can find somebody with Trackit access (Canadian) or USTA access they can pull his lines for you. Unfortunately we don’t have Trackit anymore or I’d gladly pull his lines for you.

Kiss My Donkey (Somebeachsomewhere X Donkeys Can Talk) born April 15 2010. Strangely he also had a brother who died the year before with the same name, guess they like the name enough to reuse it! Bred by Steve Jones, Montgomery, NY, last owners listed Theresa Martino-Richard J Perfido, Washington, PA, might be worth a little google sleuthing to see if they have any photos!
His mark is 1:56.3 and he has 5 lifetime wins. He won on July 24th 2013 at Scioto Downs, Ohio. Oct 9th, 25th and Nov 1st, 15th 2013 Saratoga, NY. He last race April 2015, and he finished 10th by 29 lengths.

A Somebeachsomewhere son! OP you’ve got a nicely bred horse there, assuming his damn has some good bloodlines, but I"m assuming she does if they paid to breed her to Somebeachsomewhere! I’ll try to post some pictures of our boy and girl sometime, just don’t have any on this computer to do it now.

Are there certain bloodlines in STB world known for producing “hotter” (or atleast relative when compared to other standardbreds…) horses? My current gelding is quite a bit more forward than the handful I’ve worked with in the past, was just curious if it’s strictly individual or if there any lines known for being more forward so-to-speak.
I appreciate all the replies, very much enjoying learning more in the process of researching my boy
