How in the world do I search this? I have two or three mares in particular I’m interested to find out if they were bred or have foals on the ground. Thoroughbreds.
Go to the Jockey Club website and if you have a user name and password you can ‘check registration status’, year by year for each mare.
If you don’t, let us know the names and one of us can check.
The APRs will tell what registered TB foals a TB mare has had. Several CoTHers have APRs.
If the mares are European or their foals have gone to Europe (France in particular) they should be on the France Galop website here:
http://www2.france-galop.com/FGWeb/
You can also check for sales horses by googling the mare’s name.
You don’t need a log in and password to do this. You can do it on Equineline with the free five gen pedigree:

That is the looooong way to do it though, especially for an older mare!
Much easier to just post the names and have one of us with an APR look them up
