Any idea where old eventing dressage tests (i.e. from before 2018) can be found? Anyone perhaps have some saved / scanned? I have tried to find them using a web-archive website, but couldn’t get very far… I want to compare versions so as to glean a sense of their evolution and the rationale behind it, etc. And running through them can’t hurt - and it prevents anticipation of the current tests! Thanks COTHers.
Can I piggyback and ask another question or three?
If the current tests are effective until December 1st, when do the new ones get released? In my area the show season is over due to weather, but in more temperate climates where shows run year round, I’d be not happy to get a brand new dressage test and have to show it shortly thereafter.
How often are the tests refreshed? If there’s a new test, is there a grace period if they release them super close to the new effective date? When can we expect to see 2020 stuff?
They get updated every 4 years.
Eventing Dressage tests were updated for 2018, and straight Dressage tests were updated for 2019.
Usually they are released by early November, but there was one year when the Eventing Dressage tests were released late, and did not go into effect until April.
I have SOME (mostly lower level) of the older straight Dressage tests on my hard drive.
I have some old tests…what are you looking for?
Which test?
Yes, effective until 1 December 2021, I believe…they’ll be posted on the USEA website & I’m sure EN will run an article
I am not sure about grace periods…I can try to ask around for you. Good question!
I would mainly be interested in Training and Preliminary tests. If you have anything for Intermediate, I would also potentially take a look - but no pressure. So kind of you!

I also have a lot of old Omnibi (Omnibuses?) with copies of the dressage test descriptions (not score sheets). But not on my computer.
