Finger Lakes Cutie

Gray and tall = double the asking price, usually.

Really, if people are willing to spend $15,000 on some yearling they won’t even be able to ride for a few years (over in hunter/dressage lands, anyway), nitpicking a couple thousand on a horse whose connections have already spent ten times that seems a bit penny-pinching. I like dirt cheap, but I’m not planning to show much of anything. And as mentioned, cash and a trailer talk.

Yup. Ditto for tall chestnuts with bling (if they’re geldings, anyway).

Pricing is always odd at the track. Some of the ones I’ve liked best recently have been priced under $800, and I’ve seen some priced super high for reasons I will never understand.

What some trainers have learned, too, is that pricing a horse under $1000 seems to open a lot of “what’s wrong with the horse?” questions from people - the same as selling a horse anywhere does, and they’re starting to price their horses higher to work the perception angle (if you tell people your product is worth more, they often believe it)

Okay, I am in love with Unbridled Laugh, however, I am on the west coast. Do they ever ship across country to other faciities so potential buyers from out here have a shot?

The horses don’t go anyplace unless they’re sold. So you could have her vetted and then arrange to have her shipped to you. I agree, she’s a real beauty.

We’d be happy to get a video of her for you if that would help.

My BO got Waylady

This mare is beautiful. She is such a sweetheart. If liked her pics, you should see her in person. WOW, I luv how she is built, she is definitley not 16.3, I’d say 16.0-16.1 now. The trainer that had her took awesome care of her. She has nice clean tight legs and luv her shoulder.

Gorgeous

Waylady

Will try and post some pics this weekend. With all of this rain, its been hard.

Congratulations to your BO on her new Finest!

Thank goodness someone got her! I could not stop thinking about her. For some weird reason, I found something magical in her look. Pics are a MUST. Is your BO hoping to develop her into an eventer or don’t know yet? I hope that whatever discipline she does she competes her under her JC name so that we can keep up with her successes!

Because she looked like a Stubbs painting???

pony grandma, that is exactly it.

Which BNT says you should buy a horse whose face you want to see hanging over the stall door every morning?

Anyone else looking for a painting, look at Unbridled Laugh. Seriously, there are some GORGEOUS mares getting listed.

If you can’t go, just ask the FL Finest people for a vet rec and names of haulers. I bought Lucky over the phone and it was easy as pie.

Ha ha. That must be it! I was an art history major in college and my senior paper was on George Stubbs. I spent a lot of time looking at those beauties! I just wish I could be looking at her hanging her head over a stall in MY barn!
