First female president!

Let’s go! Let’s make this happen. Harris is a stronger candidate with more experience than Obama had. She can do this! I’ve been waiting for this since Geraldine Ferraro didn’t make it as vice president. I was a little girl that was terribly disappointed that England had a queen and female prime minister and we couldn’t have a female president. I’m not the only one. This election just got electric.

-Harris is more qualified going into this than Obama was and he rose to the occasion.
-Biden has been mentoring her much more than he was mentored.
-I truly think this was decided at least a week ago but they waited until after the GOP convention was over. Now all eyes are on them.
-Women, Harris needs you to be strong and united. We deserve this. We have been attacked and our rights have been trampled. We will lose far more than men if that felon is elected.
-We will hear the trolls. They won’t bother to lower their voices with their misogynistic comments against Harris and women in general. Even if you prefer TFG, don’t tolerate this behavior in your workplaces or in your homes. Our daughters, sisters, granddaughters, and mothers deserve a clean debate.
-So, the choice is simple. The prosecutor or the felon.

It should have been Hilary, but Kamala is going to be a kickass President!

Posted this in the other thread, repeating here …

There have been some concerns before now that Harris is not the most sparkling candidate. I think her excellent qualifications would overwhelm that view, but this is the country we are in, I guess.

I would love to tone down the show business of American politics and make it more about better things, qualifications, judgment, things like that.

Some powerful women heads of state, politicians who were extremely effective, even though they were not the snappiest dressers, not the most charismatic, and did not light up a room …

Angela Merkel

Margaret Thatcher

Golda Meir

Benazir Bhutto

Indira Ghandi

Many, many more, that we’ve never heard of because our news media doesn’t much cover their corner of the world.

It would be great if the campaign could emphasize her best qualities and not worry about those other details .

Plus alongside her opponents, she’s by far the most professionally well-spoken and genuinely cut out for the job. She looks fantastic next to them!

I think that much of the world is receiving this news (at this moment it’s evening in Europe, early morning in East Asia) …

… and breathing a gigantic sigh of relief, and a huge whoop of joy, that there is real hope of defeating Trump !!!
:star_struck:  :hugs:

Those that know Harris will be happy about her coming on board as POTUS (assuming that happens), and the rest will come up to speed, soon.

Also very interesting tomorrow morning to see how Wall Street and the interest rates react. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

It’s both a long and short time until 11/5. I have no idea what will happen.

We got a call from Sweden an hour or so ago. Very concerned about Biden’s withdrawal and hoping that the nominee will be Harris.

Not to mention that the lady is showing herself to be calm and on point at a sudden change of news, a sea change of direction. She’s doing the job, not jumping around and making noise for the media. I like her more and more.

I doubt that any foreign leader other than Putin, and maybe Xi and KJU, wanted Trump to be President. Speculating of course, but objectively Trump is unpredictable and has never shown consistent values in foreign affairs.

All of Europe is relieved. They were worried about Biden losing. The United Nations is ecstatic.

I feel the same energy. Wouldn’t it be poetic justice to give the Republican Party the middle finger for taking away the rights of American women by electing the first woman President? Let’s go!

Orban and Erdogan?

Indeed it should have. Truer, sadder words never spoken. Sadly, a lot of Americans are a lot less progressed than many of us would like.

Very interesting positions to ponder.

These two are influential – especially Erdogan, internationally – but given they are not the dead weight powerhouses that are Russia and China, are they really better off with a loose cannon in the WH? Who shakes hands and winks one day, then buries them under public speechifying castigations a few months later?

Harris will be a consistent presence. The sheer stability she should bring (once she’s in office a year or two) will give every foreign leader a much more clear status for whatever they want to manipulate next.

Can you imagine him losing his sh** if Gretchen Whitmer was her running mate? I think his head would explode so fast that maxi pad would hit the wall. Next to the ketchup stain.

Hey JDVance,
Meet Pres. To be Harris, one of those
No good childless wimmen who got outta the kitchen and kicked butt her whole life.
I think we should send her a bunch of cats, eh?

She is a former prosecutor, an AG, Senator, and VP. Vance should be quaking in his shoes.
