We just returned home from our first full length CDE with our new pair of British Riding Ponies and we couldnt be happier with them! We were pleased even before hearing the results as we have been working on many different things with them since our indoor show a month ago, and they have improved so quickly! They listened well and are working better as a pair together.
We still have lots to work on, but its a great start so far. We ended up with a 46.44 in dressage and ended up as Champion Dressage out of 11 Prelim entries. It was also the lowest dressage score for the whole competition. No time penalties in cones but 2 lazy balls down. Still sitting in first place heading into marathon.
We had a nice clean marathon and ended up winning that as well! We beat all the single ponies and ended up with Champion Marathon as well. Our final score was a 95.75 and the boys ended up Overall Champion Prelim and First Place Prelim Pair Pony as well!
Bromont is our next CDE with them in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to the rest of the show season with this new pair. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for us
