We went to a fairly local to me 2 day hunter schooling show and decided to move up to the 2’3” division as he then actually jumps the jumps. I also entered a medal class that stated it was 2’3” in the prize book but the course setter didn’t know and made it 2’6” which he jumped around with no issues.
We were able to school around on the Saturday and move into our stalls. We had a lot of rain the past 2 days so the footing was wet but not slick. Weather was windy and cool, around 40-45F the whole weekend, but he was such a rock star and jumped around like he’s been doing this his whole life. We just did simple changes as he lead changes aren’t quite there yet. I keep forgetting he’s only been jumping since March as he’s so honest and willing.
Very proud of him and we ended up Reserve Champion in the 2’3” division and 3rd in the Medal. 2 weeks off and then back in for our 4 day Silver show
